Efficient Inline Transformer for the NV TRACK48 Rail System

The inline transformer from ISOLED is specially designed for the low-voltage TRACK48 rail system and offers a power output of 150 watts at a secondary voltage of 48 volts DC. It is integrated directly into the rail, enabling a particularly discreet and elegant installation. With compact dimensions of 26.75 x 2.2 x 4.36 cm and a weight of only 0.376 kg, the device fits seamlessly into the rail system and ensures reliable power supply to the connected luminaires.

Technical Details and Installation

The transformer is magnetically attached inside the rail and then secured with a locking screw to prevent it from falling. The connection cable is 25 cm long and is routed from the back through an opening in the power rail to the mains connection. The operating voltage range is 220-240 volts AC with a mains frequency of 50/60 Hz. The maximum current load is 1 ampere, while protection class 2 and IP rating IP20 provide safety and protection against foreign objects.

DALI Compatibility and Control Options

For operating DALI-controllable components, the transformer is equipped with a DALI loop-through that forwards the control signal to additional devices. This allows compatible luminaires or controllers to be dimmed or controlled easily. It should be noted that a corresponding driver is required for DALI-capable luminaires, which is included in the delivery. The device has a 2-pole connection but is not itself DALI controllable.

The inline transformer is made from a combination of robust plastic and metal, ensuring durability and stability. The black color provides a neutral appearance that integrates well into various environments. With an operating temperature range from -10 to +40 degrees Celsius, the device is suitable for many applications. Additionally, the transformer meets energy efficiency class A1 BAT and features a power factor of over 0.95, ensuring energy-efficient operation.

Compatibility and Accessories

The transformer is exclusively intended for use in tall TRACK48 low-voltage rails (surface-mounted or recessed in drywall) and is not compatible with TRACK48 FLAT rails. Accessories include a connection cable and the appropriate driver, while luminaires and power rails are sold separately. Alternatively, operation with external 48V DC drivers is possible, for which matching power supplies with 50 cm or 200 cm connection cables are available. These alternative power supplies are 4-pole, DALI controllable, and dimmable, offering additional flexibility.
